Thames to Head Florida Operations

ATMORE, AL – As the Rural Radio Preparedness Association continues to enhance their coverage across the region with new affiliates and resources, members approved a new position on the Board of Directors at their monthly meeting Thursday night in Atmore.

Mr. Arc Thames (W4CPD), RRPA Pace Range Warden was elected Vice President of Florida Operations. “It’s an incredible feeling to be a part of something very positive and I look forward to working with everyone to leverage the fun, creativity and service of Amateur Radio,” Thames said.

“Arc is top shelf when it comes to helping others. He and his wife, Josie, are an asset to any organization and we are blessed that they chose to work with us,” said RRPA Vice President T.H. Merritt (KL5YJ).

As Vice President of Florida Operations, Arc will coordinate new affiliates and serve as the RRPA Liaison with governmental, private and faith-based organizations. He will also assist with other administrative duties for the Association.

The RRPA Pace Range will hold their inaugural meeting at 6:30 PM July 9th at the old firehouse behind Pace Assembly of God Church on US HWY 90 in Pace, FL. You may contact Arc at w4cpd@rrpahq.org
